Eco pots are made from bamboo fibre, a clever composite that mostly comprises of powder ground out of end of life bamboo products (such as chopsticks, placemats, decking and scaffolding) or the offcuts from their production.
This recycled powder is mixed with organic corn starch, a small amount of resin for binding and food grade dyes. The vast majority of the composite biodegrades within 3-5 years in landfill, unlike plastics.
Eco pots are designed to be used time and time again. They features pre-pressed points on the base that can easily be pushed out with a screwdriver if drainage is needed.
